One of Peak’s 2010 Summer Clinics runs through Huguenot Park

Peak Running & Fitness aims to educate, inspire and motivate athletes of all ages and abilities.

Located in Richmond, Va., we offer a variety of services to cater to your needs, from workout plans to group training to private sessions. We also offer age- and gender-based clinics, such as our seasonal youth clinics and our regular women’s running groups.

The Peak program focuses on a progressive, long-term approach based on extensive scientific research. Our training programs are built around you and your needs. Our coaches spend time at the beginning of your training, learning as much as possible about your strengths, weaknesses, time constraints, and life commitments.  This helps us design the best possible program, customized especially for you. Whether you need help with form and technique, building endurance, speed training, or just getting in shape from scratch, Peak Running can help you achieve your goal. We place high importance on remaining injury-free and catering to unique strengths and weaknesses. Like most things good in life, being healthy and active takes time and commitment. The support of Peak Running makes it easy for you to achieve the lifestyle you crave over the long-term.

We’re located in Richmond, Va., and our programs take place all over the greater Richmond area. We also offer web-based programs for athletes around the globe.

Coach David

About Coach David Brown

David has been a competitive runner for over a decade. His success began in middle school, carried him through high school, and eventually got him recruited to run collegiately. During his colligate career at Lynchburg College, David was a part of a nationally qualifying cross-country team his junior and senior years as well as all-conference in the 10k for outdoor track his junior year.

Since graduating, David has gone on to run professionally for New Balance and has returned to his former middle school and high school Coach Brenda Averette. His philosophy and approach to distance running is very much the same as Coach Averette’s making their coaching styles very similar. David began coaching with Brenda shortly after his graduation from Lynchburg College in 2014.
